FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (FEA)



A major part of some design projects, is verifying the design against standards (e.g. BSI), and real life simulations. Corvex consider this throughout the design process, and where necessary FEA is done early in the project in order to prove the intended specification. Some projects are best driven by FEA, (e.g. giving the best strength for minimal weight). Corvex can do this by building a simple model that can be taken into Pro/Mechanica, where an FEA is run. The results can then drive the relevant changes until the required strength is obtained. This model can then be easily developed into a part that can be tooled. Corvex can also take any 3D models and run the relevant FEA. Features can then be added or removed to optimise the design.
